My married couple friends visited me over MLK weekend and we watched funny stuff online and got frustrated that the weather has mucked up my normally reliable Internet and we ate way too much food but drank just enough booze. Both of her kids were born in December, which I don't recommend because it cuts into your Hannukwanzaramadamasux loot, but too late now. They demonstrated the proper way to thank people for gifts received (click to embiggen):
And just to keep this consistent with the majority of blogs out there, here is a picture of their former kitty:
And a picture about Jesus:
Now let us never speak of this again.

Glad to see you survived "Georgia Snowmageddon 2011." My condolences if you had to work from home the whole time instead of getting unexpected bonus days off to spend running through the snow yelling "WHEEEE!!!!" at the top of your lungs.
Actually, that was my two-year old who did that. Not me. Really.
Tch. Checked my mail and found that my comment was now irrelavent. I am exhoner-thingammy even though I don't do thank you notes as well as the ones on this post.
Now let's go and burn something down.
Look at you, being such a good host. Can I come stay at your place too?
Those thank you notes are the best ever!
Loofah makes me FURIOUS!!!
Those are some very creative thank you notes. I would have just gotten a basic thank you note from the Hallmark store and signed my name to it.
Gib - it was traumatizing. I almost ran out of beer and had to drink the cheap stuff for the guests.
Maundering mutterer - fire solves everything.
Avitable - you're welcome to stay anytime you come to or pass through Atlanta. We'll do a sleepover and braid each other's hair!
PAMO - I agree. Both of her kids outdid themselves this time. I've got their price range down.
Captain Dumbass - they are the debbil's work.
Jay - I usually go with a Wrongcard and don't even bother with something physical.
I love the honesty of 'thanks for spending money on me.'
Also - loofahs make me angry got me LOLing. Awesome, just like you (or so that card says).
I think I need to put up a picture of a cat so I can conform with the land of blogs.
Kyra's kids are the shit! Both of those notes are exactly what I'd imagine her kids would write. I love how Jared wrote, "Again, thank you for spending money on me." HAHAHA!!! They're great.
