Formspring

The following short posts were automatically contributed by my Formspring account. I'm not sure whether I want them popping up here or not, but I'm too busy to do much else these days so I'll give it a whirl. Let me know what you think. Also feel free to click on the clicky thing on the left and ask me some questions. For an added challenge, see if you can compose a question that does not include the words "bunny" and/or "shart".

Why I still use Google Blogger comments

Following is a condensed version of a drawn-out comment monologue I've heard from many people over the years. See if it sounds familiar.

"Ha ha, you are an idiot because you use lame old Google Blogger's comment function. I now use Comment McFoobulator. It is totally awesome! It slices! It dices! It rubs your feet and changes all comments to positive fuzzy 'I love everything you say' stuff. I can now manage my comments in a way you Google-beats can only imagine. It never fails and never drops a single comment. Okay, yeah, you do have to register. But it's totally worth it. Okay, sure, it says it works with Google accounts and then only picks up half your info when you log in, but the glass is still half full. Or at least 40% full. The glass is seriously 33% full, and that's on a cloudy day. Okay, now they do require word verification. And you have to wait for a follow-up e-mail. And then you have to click on the link in the e-mail and go to their web site to confirm that you actually did want to leave the comment you painstakingly typed. And there are other hoops to navigate if you want follow-up e-mails. But at least they don't - what the shit!? People are e-mailing me and saying their comments are getting lost. And that they like me, but not enough to fight their way past Comment McFoobulator and leave each comment multiple times in the hopes that one gets through. And now Comment McFoobulator isn't responding to my e-mails. It looks like they've gone out of business. CURSE YOU, COMMENT MCFOOBULATOR!!!

""Ha ha, you are an idiot because you use lame old Google Blogger's comment function, whereas I now use Comment McFrappinator..."

So, yeah. The Google Blogger comment function stays in this Google blog. It abides because it endures. It's not perfect, but then again neither are you. Leave a comment if you have an issue with that.

New bloggy direction

I'm jealous of the Hyperbole and a Half blog because, based on the number of comments, it is read by every life form in the known universe. I think the reason is that it involves drawings. So far I have just attempted to dazzle the Internet with bunny and the wellness of my writing of the English, but since that hasn't worked, I will now venture into other areas of artistry starting with a self-portrait.The picture is anatomically correct. Expect more to come. Tell your friends.

In other news, still no glasses. Since I have friends visiting this weekend I thought it would be a good time to see stuff, but I have to admit I'm comforted by their inability to deliver. If I ever gave a doctor some money and it lead to an improvement in my life, I'm sure it would be a sign of the impending apocalypse.

Bloggertisement

I'm probably the last person to see this, but I recently discovered Hyperbole and a Half. It's an awesome blog that is way funnier than yours. Who else could get nearly 800 comments for making jokes about the misuse of the term "alot"? And it's a Google blog, so bend over and take that up your rear, blog snobs! This blog is so awesome, you'll probably think that you'll never have any reason to drop by here again, and you would be right except that she never posts pictures of hot Japanese women.

Example of what her blog lacks:

Note - the fish story is major league awesome sauce.
