Advertising Done Right

I have no idea what the commercial has to do with McDonald's food, but it makes me want to buy a Big Mac right now. All commercials should be done in such a fashion - 28 seconds of a cute J-bunny frolicking followed by two seconds of flashing the logo - Pop Tarts, Michelin tires, Maker's Mark, Satanism, Gerber baby foods, Ruger guns, whatever. I'll buy it if the implication is that Ebi-chan will like me more.

The Japanese love things that don't make sense. It's just the way I guess. But it's nice to look at.

'Tis not a women's headgear ad?

HA HA HA. You are so funny. Yes it doesn't make sense but anything to impress the girl right, which usually happens when opening your wallet.

But will she still love me after eating all those Big Mac's?

Maybe ... this is what they do while they wait in line for some mcsushi!

Can't comment - have to go get a cheesburger.

ricardo - true, Japanese media is often more entertaining than logical. I'm good with that. I sometimes wish we could adopt the same attitude.

sj - the closing shot tells you what was being advertised. I think they made it that way so they can reuse the commercial by just swapping out the last shot with another logo.

ssc - I'll remember that the next time I want to impress a woman. "Look - credit cards and cash!"

cda - she will love you even more. They must be healthy - look at her figure.

hit 40 - I really hope McDonald's stays away from sushi.

r - I love everything about her (and her twin sister).

gib - and some fuzzy white hats.
