Random Blogging

Wuss time – I’m changing my goal for NaNoWriMoWraMo. I made the 50,000 word goal in November, but I didn’t enjoy the stress, I paid a few bills late, and the housework suffered. This month my goal is 1,000 words on working days and 2,000 on days off with one day off per week for drinking beer, watching movies, and eating Baldino’s subs. My goal for December is 37,000 words, or the completion of the novel (probably the former).

Here at work they’ve decorated the poles outside by stringing white lights in a conical semblance of a Christmas tree. Do they have any idea how cheap and tacky that looks? Are we celebrating Festivus around here? It reminds me of the age-old song of seasons greetings, sung to the tune of Deck the Halls:
“Time to celebrate with cla-ass
Gabba gabba hey gabba hey hey hey
Shove the pole right up your-“
Ooh, looky. Eggnog!

I saw the latest Harry Potter movie last night. It was okay, but a little disappointing since most of the book got cut. One lingering side effect – after hearing the few lines spoken by Katie Leung (the girl who played Cho Chang), I now find the concept of an Asian woman with a Scottish (or Irish) accent very sexy. Note – she’s eighteen, so I can legally find her attractive, even though she’s still no Ninja Bunny Dentist. Anyway, if anybody knows a thirtyish Asian woman with a Scottish (or Irish, or even British) accent who is skilled in the arts of dentistry and ninjitsu, please tell her that I love her and send her to me. As an alternative, maybe I can ask the Bunny to adopt the accent. Do you think that would be a good icebreaker, or would it scare her away? Should I wait until after I’ve chloroformed her and chained her to my bed before approaching her with that fantasy?

Well i have a brit accent.I could record it for you and then when you have her tied to your bed you could put the tape on continuious play until she starts speaking like that.

You should just wait until she's chained to the bed. A girl will say anything you want to hear in that game. lol

My 30-ish asian friend is a marketing rep with a thick texan accent. Too bad since I unfortunately know she likes to be tied up. I could live without knowing that aspect of her life...but... It isn't scottish.

Sorry

I agree with Blondie...wait till you have her in chains.

Why is it that Irish/British/Scottish accents are so damn attractive? I know I find guys with accents like that get an automatic extra three points on my "he's sexy" meter.

Get in to a casual conversation with her and try to manipulate her into saying something with the accent. If nothing else try the lucky charms phrase. Good luck on this one, I think you may need it.

I vote for waiting till she's tied. If that doesn't work, you could always re-think necrophilia and play June's tape. Could be worth a shot.
