Things continue to happen

My third and last credit card acknowledged my filing and has canceled my account. That's over $25,000 worth of medical debt gone. Plus my court date is set for the 23rd of this month, which is good because a) I have more vacation to burn before I lose it, b) the downtown Atlanta traffic will not be as bad, and c) getting this crap over is the best Hannukwanzaaramadamasux present ever.

In other awesome news, I used some of the money I'm now allowed to keep to purchase a Wii from Amazon, which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I need exercise to help manage my diabetes (my blood glucose levels have been high recently despite insulin and pills), but I've gotten so bored with the treadmill that I can't stand to get on it any more. With the limited speeds I move at these days, it requires about two hours for me to get the amount of exercise necessary to lower my blood sugar. I decided I need a form of physical activity that can be performed in my apartment and can be adjusted to my weak health, and computer golf and bowling sound about right. If anyone knows of any other worthwhile Wii games, let me know, or better yet, just buy them yourself and send them to me. Bear in mind that I'm doing this mostly for exercise and don't want anything that doesn't require movement. Also bear in mind that I can't run, jump, or in general move faster than the speed of fart.

Did you get the Wii Fit?

The Fit is great, but of course you have to shell out for the balance board. But then you can also play Wii Resort and the new Fit game as well.

I suggest the yoga program. It will be good for you and yet cater to your fragility.

Excellent news on the financial front.

I don't have a Wii Fit, but everyone I know who does says it's really great.

Very cool I wish I could file too except right now I actually seem to be in reasonably good financial position - have to find a way to spend them maybe in Bangkok?

Could I be less with the times? I don't have a Wii or any other game system. I don't have an iphone or touch or whatever. I might as well just go live off the land.

Other than the Wii Fit - which is cool and does a wonderful job of taking up space under the couch in my house, because I've used it like twice since I got it - the Wii Sports game that comes with the thing is the best exercise I've gotten out of it, esp. the boxing.

Avitable - not yet, but I'm planning that as my next move.

Captain Dumbass - I'm going to tinker with Wii Sports a bit more before I purchase any additional titles, but I loved the one night of playing so I think the Fit is definitely in.

Tracy Lynn - plus bunnies might find it sexy that I yoga.

dr.alistair - I wonder if it cures hangovers and loneliness.

Jay - the sports thing is a great start if you're low on the exercise curve. Two games are low intensity, two are medium, and the boxing can exhaust healthy people.

SJ - yes, I highly recommend you get into financial trouble to improve your life. You should have gone to a hospital while you were in the US.

Robin - that's absurdly behind the times. Even the Native Americans had rudimentary game consoles made of straw and adobe.

Gib - I tried the boxing last night, but was too tired by the end of the tutorial to actually spar with the computer.

It's sad that it took something you did not want to to (bankruptcy) to give you peace of mind and put you in a better place but i'm glad you are on the upswing now.

Wii Fit, definitely.

And I suppose you could get the Wii version of Dance Dance Revolution. :)

Monogram Queen - I'm over my initial revulsion of filing and am enjoying all the benefits now.

GreenJello - I was hoping more for something that would allow me to use the controllers as medieval weapons to slaughter people, but Wii fit sounds like a winner.
