Memorize these three indispensable phrases:
1) Sumimasen, watashi wa bakana Amerika-jin desu.
2) Isshou ni sekusu o shimashou.
3) Watashi o warawanai de kudasai.
And that's all you need to survive in Japan. I plan to use #3 a lot. Especially after using #2.
Warning - blog owner is old and cranky and if you leave a comment he will follow you back to your place and return comment which usually leads to drama and debate, so if your blog is particularly Jesus / kitty / kid-intensive, you may want to reconsider.

I understand #1 and #2. LOL, Grant. LOL. I don't know what "warawanai" means, so I don't know #3. Though if it has to do with #2, I'm sure we haven't gone over that vocabulary in class :P.

Translation please!
When I was in college, I saw somebody wearing a shirt that had #1 written on it. I thought that was the best thing anyone could wear to Japanese class.
I'm with a few other people here in that I don't know what "warawanai" means.
