Blogpal #2

Annush was in my general area last night, and so I had the opportunity to meet her over dinner at my favorite restaurant, Umezono. She’s not one to hide her personality on her blog, so I’m pleased to report she came across in real life as funny and glib as in her posts. One difference – she’s actually prettier than in her pictures. Don’t we hate people like that? Anyway, she told me she had recently packed on six pounds, but she’s obviously not storing them anywhere near her actual body. She didn’t have any spare mass that I could see, and I was really looking.

After dinner, she tried to trick me into a Catholic church under the pretense that she needed a ride back to her cousin’s place and that’s where we’d find her. She didn’t fool me for a moment, so we drove around as I pretended to not know the city in which I’ve lived for the past two and a half years. We cruised past a sign planted in the ground which read “Stop the invasion – secure our borders now!” She found it funny, but I was more than a little embarrassed. I imagine it would be the same if somebody else was showing me their wonderful country and we passed a gaggle of people loudly complaining about the ugly American tourists.

Eventually we stopped at a convenience store on Cobb Parkway and chatted as we waited for her cousin to pick her up. That’s the official story, and in no way should any of you believe that I actually got lost because I can’t follow instructions and have the innate directional sense of asparagus (canned, not fresh). Besides, no instructions in Marietta are valid unless they reference the Big Chicken.

And so, we parted with a hug and I said “See you later” which is just one of those things I say and was not meant to sound ominous, despite wringing my hands and following up with an evil cackle. With that, I released her unharmed back into the wild, but with a radio transmitter so I can track her progress. It was a pleasant evening and I didn’t make a complete fool of myself, and thankfully she will ever know that when I headed for home, I first drove thirty minutes in the wrong direction and nearly ran out of gas. Annush is returning home today, so be sure to check her blog for the other side of the story. “OMFG, I can’t believe I wasted my time on that stupid redneck!”

Hehehe nobody knows that it’s actually a robot clone that has taken her place and the real Annush is safely locked in the root cellar along with the real Kira wait am I still typing or just thinking this am I talking can they hear me which one involves tapping the keyboard again I think I’m getting confoozed

One of my first nightmares in GA was of the Big Chicken walking down Cobb Parkway hellbent on finding and eating me.

And as far as the cellar thing...Did I tell you that I carry a gun at all times? :P

Meeting someone online or on a blog is a bit scary. Everyone puts their best foot forward, and of course their best picture as well. But you are fortunate enough to have found someone who matches the picture--and lucky enough to have her even look better! :) But looks aren't everything, her personality seems great as well!

I'm assuming the restaurant was of "Grant caliber"? I couldn't think any less of you my dear!

I'm just happy you didn't pull a Jeffrey Dahmer on her....

There's only women in the cellar. I know this from personal experience. Should be fun getting to know Annush since we'll have lots of time together in here...

I will read her blog as well. I met one guy from a blog and we became great pals. It's always nice when that can happen.

Strange that she looks like that federal agent that I saw on Dateline NBC that would meet personally with "people of interest" right before the ATF storms their house.

so many people thinking i am pretty...i think i am going to cry :*)

as you all can see i am still alive (albeit in a cellar somewhere in the middle of nowhere GA)...

Thanks for everything Grant. I had a really good time chilling with you though I was really curious to see if you would have gotten struck by lightning had you entered the church. Damn. Some other time :P

As for that sign, which I must say saddened me more than amused me, is kinda like that COnfederate flag I saw on someone's property: a clear indication that no matter how nice people may seem (you Southerners are SOOOOOO nice) at the end of the day, there are always some real assholes :)

How cool! She is rather beautiful, no wonder you locked her in the cellar.

Blogging seems to be a great way to stockpile your harem though... You never know when the apocolypse will happen and women will be in short supply. hehe

I'm jealous!

So you know this means that any future meetings with fellow bloggers will be taking place on their turf, right?

We don't have root cellars here in Florida...but I do have a rather nice tool shed in the back yard that you'll fit in nicely.

Oops...did I blog that out loud???

saur - we're just blogpals, so I wouldn't care if she was physically unattractive. But she's not.

sj - don't forget to feed the prisoners.

hellbunny - glad to hear you had fun. If I remember, the last meeting didn't go as well.

angie - glad you have a gun. You can help guard the others.

~deb - yes, I was a complete gentleman and released her unharmed, as far as any of you can prove.

patti - yes, her blog is neat, although it recently turned pink.

kira - make sure you two don't finish without me.

kerry - I'll keep checking, hoping it will be back soon.

enemy - given the number of flakes I've encountered online, I'm surprised it's been going so well.

death - it's probably the same person. She didn't tell me what she does in her spare time.

messiah - yeah, I was nervous both times, but both were fun.

annush - yes, we have a few prejudiced people, unlike, say, everywhere else on the planet. :p

blondie - don't be jealous - plenty of room in the cellar. I just added a new torture wing. :p

liz - yes, on rare occasions I do venture into public - just not during daylight, or in areas with religious symbols present.

pq - Florida is too far South for me. I'll think about it when you guys start getting snow.

mal - yes, I shot her up with a speed-ball which woke her up nicely.

ttd - no sex, so it was only a good time.
