I got nuthin'

I don't have a post today, and I don't feel like a meme or a quiz, so I'll just mention that the repeating phrase "Look at all the little fishes" (et al) is no longer repeating in my brain. In its place is the refrain from the jukebox in The Sims, which I will repeat verbatim:

Oogy oogy ooh,
Oogy oogy ooh ooh,
Oogy oogy ooh,
Oogy oogy ooh ooh

Am now forcing myself to repeat "Look at all the little fishes at the bottom of the sea. Who would like to join them? Who would like to join them? Who..." in the hopes I can get that one back.

They're taking the hobbits to Eisengard!

Somehow I don't think Doug is helping much here. I'd suggest a Celine Dion song, but that would make you want to blow your brains out as opposed to simply looking for a new phrase.

The theme from One Piece always works for me. That and Copacabana.

I like the Monty Python's fish skit.

Oh fishy, fishy, fishy, fish.
Fish, fish, fish, fishy oh!
Oh fishy, fishy, fishy fish.
That went wherever I did gooooo.

I think of Luca Brazi everytime I hear that - hmm - could be that I just watch Le Godfather.

this is the song that never ends,
it just goes on and on my friends.
someone started singing it not knowing what it was, and now they'll go on singing it forever just because.....

seriously though....

doug: thanks. you have some new ones i hadn't seen. i have a list at work somewhere, i'll see if i can find it. there's more out there.

grant: this may sound odd, but.... sing o'canada. because it doesn't rhyme, it is pretty much guaranteed to kill any other song stuck in your head. (i know... but just imagine you're at a sporting venue and singing along for the better team ;)

Don't worry...be happy.

That one always makes me want to down half a bottle of anti-depressants and about a fifth of whiskey....;)

Great. Thanks, Grant. Now I have all these songs running through my head too. Well, except O, Canada. I only know the opening line to it so it keeps repeating...O, Can-a-da over and over and over and over...

I don't always have posts either. I want to say something witty or funny like everyone else here, but it isn't happening. But post or not, I really like your blog and what you have to say.

Since my home PC has a conniption when I try to type in Hiragana, I developed my own phoenetic version. See if you can decipher the following:

Squiggle squiggle curlything coupladots slashy swirl squiggle symbolIcantgetrighttosavemylife squiggle tickmark tickmark pointything swooshy squiggle. "

Umm, how about no? =) hehehe...

We don't always have something to say everyday.

doug - as a cultured individual, I'm already familiar with the llama song.

joe - George Carlin once suggested suicide as a means of ridding oneself of those annoying songs, but I'm not quite there yet.

tracy - Barry Manilow is the devil (and I don't mean that in the good way).

tai - nope, oogy oogy ooh is still there. I think annoying trumps zany.

mel - oogy oogy ooh makes you think of the Godfather? I must have missed that scene.

doug - at least your honest about your evil intentions.

poody - Ozzie rulz! Unfortunately, it's only dumb phrases that run through my brain.

messiah - I think I prefer oogy ooh to O Canada.

liz - no, I'm yellowing just fine. In fact, when playing the Sims I sometimes visit studio town just to drop by the sushi restaurant and hear Ita-san talk while she makes sushi.

sj - trance music? Sounds un-Christian to me. I'm in. :)

fatty - check Doug's comment at the top - he's got the Llama song linked, plus some others.

pq - woot! Downers and whiskey. Party!

angie - try Crazy Train. It's an improvement over oogy oogy ooh.

pbs - oogy oogy ooh still won't let go, but at least I'm happy about it.

stiltwalker - that's a good one. Mine are usually more annoying.

enemy - thanks. Notice I get more comments when I have nothing to say?

ayako - that was either the solution to world peace or a recipe for a hot fudge sundae. I forget which.

patti_cake - I actually sing that one to myself all the time.

hellbunny - true, and yet I said it anyway. :p
