Faust

I just watched this silent German film based on Goethe’s famous work, Annie Hall. It revolves around three priests who live on Craggy Island…

Wait, I’m getting confused again. I need more drugs. Or maybe less drugs. Well, I’ll try one first and then the other until I get the balance right.

What I wanted to say is the special effects are especially effective, especially considering the fact that the movie is eighty years old. The one complaint I have is the font they used for the placards. It was some kind of heavy Old English font that made all the lowercase s’s look like f’s. And who was that Mephifto character? The personal Satan of Elmer Fudd?

Went to the website and that looks like a pretty cook flick.

But I can just see it now...me bringing home a movie you actually have to READ. The PK'd have a fit!

And let us know how that whole drug thing works out...;)

On a completely unrelated topic, I came across these iPod covers and thought of you... they're for nanos, but I thought you'd like to see them anyway :]

Just stopped in today to wish you a happy Steak and BJ Day (which someone had in their blog today).

Why I thought of you on this marvelous occasion, I have no flipping idea.

Grant, what compelled you to watch this movie?

pq: make the pk watch Faust and Metropolis - both German silent films.

joe: it's actually pronounced "Saving Private Ryan."

pink: I don't collect them since I use NetFlix and can rewatch them whenever I want. I'm not particularly fond of older movies, but I've learned that they've made good (and bad) ones throughout the decades.

~deb: it's a date. :)

lor: thanks. Those are fantastic. I think Dark Lord is my favorite. If you ever see some for a full-sized iPod, let me know.

weary hag: I can't believe I missed that one. American Greetings didn't even have a card.

april: mostly because it was critically acclaimed and I wanted to see how they handled the story. Plus I like to mix things up. I watched anime after it.
