Early Halloween Plans

Halloween, my favorite holiday (2nd only to Kill People at Random and Receive No Comeuppance Day*) is fast approaching. This will be the first Halloween in my new apartment, having escaped from the boonies late last year. As such I can expect some trick-and-I'll-kill-you-so-take-the-damn-treaters for the first time since I left Birmingham. Since things are going to be different this year, I thought I'd actually do something. Here is my early plan for the Halloween weekend:

Friday, October 29: come home from work. Eat early dinner, read, then go to bed. Good is bad, bad is good, all the stuff's the same.

Saturday, October 30: The Atlanta Ballet is presenting Dracula at the Fabulous Fox Theatre (ticket prices range from $21.40 to $57.78). I think I'll make an effort to go see that. I suppose that means I'll have to dress nicely for a change. What is the proper dress for the ballet? I'm not renting a tuxedo, so if push comes to shove, I'll just dress like Bela Lugosi's Dracula and hope they don't drag me onstage.

Sunday, October 31: Movie/Candy day. I don't think I'll get a costume to pass out candy to the kiddies, unless I dress up to go to the theatre, in which case I'll recycle. I plan to spend the day watching horror movies, taking a break to pass candy out to the kids (the good stuff - Snickers and peanut butter cups, not that Sweet Tarts and Bazooka Joe crap), then finishing the evening with more movies, harmful substances, and a little light devil worshipping. My movies planned are House of 1000 Corpses (I own that one - this time I plan to count the corpses to make sure Rob Zombie isn't ripping me off) and from NetFlix I'll have The Phantom of the Opera, Switchblade Symphony: Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Scanners, and Jesse James Meets Frankenstein Daughter. I may need to trade one Phantom in for the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Well, that's it for now. Anyone who has a suggestion for celebrating this joyous and most holy occasion, please leave a comment.

Evil, out

*When is this? It's more fun for me if I surprise you. Heh heh heh.

the ballet is a good idea; you will enjoy the eerie, nocturnal environment. and why would you only consider a "little light" devil worshipping? go all out, sacrifice an animal or set something on fire :) happy haunting, when the time has come.
