Dreamlet

Since I have no time to blog anything useful, here’s a complete waste of cyberspace: the tail end (all I can remember) of this morning’s dream.

I stood in the lobby of a large bank which was currently being robbed. The robbers waved their guns around menacingly, but kept whispering to each other to be cool and not kill anybody. The robber covering my area, a blind man with stringy gray hair, accidentally fired a shot as he swept the pistol over the crowd. The bullet took the top of my head off, killing me instantly although that didn’t prevent me from watching what happened next.

The robbers huddled, complaining about the blind man and unsure of how to proceed.

“All right,” the lead robber (played by Danny Devito) shouted. “Listen up. Change of plans. The armed robbery is now a shooting spree.” With that, he fired randomly into the crowd, and then the alarm went off and interrupted my fun.

Any junior Freuds out there can feel free to leave a comment attempting to explain that one to me.

Dr. Fischer here... Clearly your subconscious is seeing some project as only half done and this has cluttered your mind for some time. (your head is missing, you're incomplete but still aware). Someone in your life might even be prodding you to finish what you've started. You're only half listening (aware) and with no head you can't know how to complete your task. Watching as they decide to turn the robbery into an all out shooting spree (thereby getting the job done) is a realization that you must finalize the project. You remain frustrated over the whole thing because of your intrusive alarm clock.
I say just throw away your "alarm clock" and git 'er done.
(disclaimer: this is an utter crock of shit and I will not be held responsible for any faith you place in my theory whatsoever)
