Unfortunately, he wasn't kidding either.

fatty - actually, I've always thought a little democracy and civilian justice would be an improvement, just as long as the chain of command is clear when it's time to act.

rick - yeah, screw the frogs. I think I'm going to retract my "I don't judge others" statement. A little blind hate can be fun. :p

liz - you and Rick, a fellow Texan, can lead the first wave of the attack.

messiah - unfortunately the cards aren't a joke. An old-timer in my unit also did the attitude check with us. Plus, when ordered to recite our general orders, we had the secret one we didn't say: I will walk my post from flank to flank and take no shit from any rank.

pbs - I guess their next step will be to hire kindergarten teachers in place of Drill Sergeants. They stories he tells are incredible... course it was during Vietnam too. My ex is still in the Army and its alot more relaxed than when Dad was in. For years i've gone to military functions and wondered how someone as round as the pillsbury dough boy can have enough energy to carry all the crap they have to carry across a foreign land to defend us. I think they should be in shape. I think Richard Simmons and Jenny Craig should get ahold of them. Same with our local police officers. skip the donuts guys!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7510429.post-1145624775955276472006-04-21T09:06:00.000-04:002006-04-21T09:06:00.000-04:00My Dad and older brother were both in the military...My Dad and older brother were both in the military and it taught and required them to be tough and be able to take anything, ready for anything.
